Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best famous for her performances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has proven her range in acting performing outstandingly in TV series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her role as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. However, it was her performance of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer in the biopic All the Way, which earned her the respect she earned as an actress. Hind was also recognized for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's time-travel drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season.
